About Us

Laura Hodges is a Licensed Professional Counselor and the founder of Christian Counseling of Arkansas. She received her Master’s Degree as well as her Advanced Counseling Degree from Regent University in Virginia and has vast experience in counseling individuals and couples. Previously Laura was a lead therapist for the Meier Clinic Day Program in Virginia, where she designed and was responsible for many of its group therapy programs.

Laura is passionate about the integrity of the marital relationship and is committed to helping couples build a solid foundation for a strong and loving marriage. She helps couples manage conflict, strengthen their emotional connection, and build a solid friendship, and works to restore unity to the marriage using Biblical principles and sound and tried counseling tools. Having lost her own husband and remarrying, Laura also has great insight into coping with and life after the loss of a spouse including grieving, dating, keeping the honeymoon alive, and effective relationship communication

In addition to her marital counseling, Laura has extensive experience in helping clients suffering from depression, anxiety, and grief.

 
Many issues in marriage are related to masking feelings that need to be identified. Laura can help clients get to the core issues that are possibly motivating negative behaviors.
